Red Poppies and Pheasant Feather Boutonnieres

These red poppy and pheasant feather boutonnieres were a request from a fall bride.
There's one for the groom and one each for the groomsmen and the young boys of the wedding party.
I also made one for the bride, as a brooch, for a keepsake.
In my opinion, you can never spoil the bride enough. Right?

The Illustrated History Of Liberty

Liberty British Colour Pattern is a book both visually brilliant and highly informative. It covers the history of Liberty of London from its beginning to the present with a multitide of illustrations as well as archival materials contained in pockets to take out, unfold and peruse.
The book is a treasure house of beauty, inspiration and information and a joy to leaf through.

Turquoise Flower Corsage

Flower corsage with striking turquiose organza flower and palest blue tulle leaves on a pastel blue ribbon.

These were a summer custom order for bridesmaids and I enjoyed making them immensely!

I find this colour so lively and vivid and cheery, it just makes me smile.

Overcast

This is what today looked like.
Overcast and a bit melancholy, as if contemplating the end of summer.

Feathers and Crystals Flower Headpiece

This veiled headpiece was a recent custom order for an August bride.
The stark white flower has crystals in the centre, ranging from clear to silver. The headpiece also has handmade tulle leaves, immaculate white feathers and white Russian veil. The picture hardly does it justice.
The bride, I'm happy to say, loved it!

Cherry Red Flower Mini Pouch Necklace

This little pouch pendant is one of a series made with natural cotton canvas and deep cherry red embellishments.

I love this combination of colours and I love the contrast of the 'plain' cotton canvas with the rich satin of the flower and the dupioni silk of the narrow bow.

I made these little pendants with the intention of having the little pouch to carry a keepsake or good luck charm with you at all times.

I'd actually also like these attached to a plain clothespin. To pin onto a jacket or top.
